Search tips

Select one or more sources above by
clicking on the appropriate icon.

2. Type a keyword in the search box. A simple search allows you to look for the surname only ("Smith" for instance). Since databases react differently to accents and hyphens, you should use all forms of spelling. (example of a simple search)
3. More complex queries involving also a given name and/or place should be performed using the Advanced Search option. (example of an advanced search)
4. Click the New Search button to start another search.
5. Check the Help section for search hints and the Sources section to learn more about each database.
